Colleen Dominguez’s award winning career as a producer, reporter, & writer spans 20 years and includes ESPN-ABC, NBC Network News, & Showtime Films. Her extensive body of work includes long form features and interviews with newsmakers from the worlds of sports, Hollywood, and politics. Features and profiles consist of a diverse range of personalities, including Tiger Woods, Colin Kaepernick, Derek Jeter, Kobe Bryant, OJ Simpson, Steven Spielberg, Madonna, Sidney Poitier, Julie Andrews, Tom Hanks, Jennifer Lopez, Lil Wayne, & Vice President Al Gore.
She produced the Showtime documentary feature, “Quiet Storm” which received an Emmy nomination for Best Documentary in 2020. The film was also awarded Best Documentary at the Santa Barbara International Film Festival in February 2019.
She recently produced a documentary on women in politics, featuring profiles on Speaker Nancy Pelosi & Vice President elect Kamala Harris. “Broad Ambitions” is set for release in late 2020.
She is the executive producer of the unscripted show “Mission Possible” which highlights the journey of former football player Eric LeGrand who was paralyzed during a game in 2010. LeGrand was the recipient of the 2012 Jimmy Valvano Perseverance award & he now focuses on the issues of the disabled community while navigating his own challenges.
Dominguez brings a comprehensive approach to storytelling, researching, writing, and producing her many projects. This is highlighted by her in-depth investigative work and human-interest features. The pursuit of telling these stories has taken her around the world.
The length and depth of her experience has resulted in a notable body of work. From the death of Princess Diana, to the shooting at Columbine; the presidential elections to the Academy Awards; the OJ Simpson trial, the World Series & NBA Finals, Dominguez has covered many of our biggest news-making moments.
She began her on-air career as a reporter for KTLA-TV in Los Angeles and prior to that was a producer for NBC News, KCOP-TV, & KMPC radio. Born in Sayre, Pennsylvania, Dominguez graduated from California State University at Los Angeles. She resides in Southern California.
